Stokke Tripp Trapp Review

I was against this highchair from the beginning. My husband was inexplicably enamored with it, like he had been with NO other product in our pre-baby-shopping. I mean, come one! It is *WAY* too expensive, and it's a chair for goodness sakes. I vetoed it outright.

Then we started solids in another highchair. It was SO hard to clean, to store, to get her in and out of, to have her with us at the table, etc. You know all the things that are awful about so many highchairs. At this point, my husband cracked and ordered the Stokke Tripp Trapp without consulting me.

It is fabulous! We love to have our daughter with us at the table! We all enjoy meals much more and for much longer. She is really able to join us and be part of the social experience of the meal. It is incredibly easy to clean, and it looks wonderful with our existing furniture. Since she can pull right up to our table, we're finding it terrifically useful for some playtime while parents are cooking. Later, I know it will be great for art projects. This is truly a chair that will adjust and be with her for a lifetime. I know it is spendy, but it is worth it!
