Sleeping Baby Productions' Ring Slings

There are so many home/small businesses around that it can be very difficult for an expectant parent to choose the most safety-conscious, best-made, and greatest value for his or her dollar. And as we see all the time, big businesses are often guilty of cutting corners, putting children in jeopardy with products that are recalled or difficult to use well, and are extremely expensive for the amount of workmanship and quality of materials used.
If you are interested in a way to carry your child with less strain on your shoulders and back, consider Sleeping Baby Productions' line of ring slings. I did a lot of research when I chose mine, and I have been so glad I did. I love my Tencel weave ring sling. The workmanship is amazing. The pleats are so well sewn and so sturdy. The fabric is gorgeous - soft and with just a tiny amount of give. The rings are designed to carry a child's weight and are rock solid. And I feel so secure carrying my son because I can feel the distribution of the fabric across my back and shoulder, and I know his weight is supported.

I'll also add that Jan is an amazing person and so patient with questions and tearful expectant mothers (yes, I was that mom-to-be). She attaches meticulous instructions to every sling and has loads of additional information on her website, including a page on infant safety in any baby-holding device, not just hers.
My son loves our sling and will fall asleep in a hip carry in a crowded grocery store - that's how comfy he is. And I can shop for an hour with a 20-pound baby on my hip because the weight is distributed so comfortably. All in all, the SBP ring sling is one of the best investments I've made for my baby.
