Simple Wishes Hands Free Pumping Bustier

When our first daughter Abigail was born, nursing did not come easily to either of us. Abigail was "tongue-tied" and this made it almost imposible to latch on at all. She did not nurse during her first 24 hours of life and was jaundiced as well, we ended up giving her formula. Nursing is extremely important to my husband and I and we planned to eliminate the use of formula so I needed to pump every 2 hours or so for 15 minutes at a time until Abigail was able to nurse successfully. To top it all off I also had Tendonitis in both wrists and holding the pump to my breasts for any more than two minutes would cause my fingers to fall asleep. My sister is a breastfeeding peer counselor for WIC and she got me the Simple Wishes Hands Free Pumping Bustier and a good quality double pump (Medela Pump In Style), without them I think I would have given up pumping and my wish of providing our baby with the best nutrition available, breastmilk.

Now that I am preparing to return to work and would like to continue Abigail on breastmilk for her first year of life I use the hands free bustier throughout the day while I pump to build up a supply for when she is in childcare.

Finally the bustier comes with additional panels for adjusting and straps if desired. I found that I maintained a strong seal without straps even if I was standing or walking around.
