Review of the Bumbo Seat

Laughing at her cousins!

At the baby shower, I got TWO Bumbo seats! I had admired them at Babies 'R Us, and was excited to have two: one for my house, one for my mother's.

The most exciting part about the Bumbo is that your baby can "sit up" way before they are able to do so on their own, and they can join you in the home office or on the island as you make dinner, and be in a chair different than a bouncy seat, where they have to lounge/recline. She felt like such a big girl!

I seriously believe that it helped Royanne sit up sooner!

Now she sits in it, even though she is crawling, when I want her close, but don't want her mobile.

One can also purchase a
Bumbo Baby Seat Play Tray for a play area or for eating.

We have taken the Bumbo to restaurants and to every family event. This way we can eat without having to hold her when there is no conventional highchair available.

This picture shows Royanne at 3 months. I recommend this product to every one!

Bumbo

This is the must have chair for your child when they're just learning how to sit up. It works wonders, it really helps. It is a little foam chair that your child will not be able to tip themselves out of if you have them on a flat surface.

My son is 5 months old and I have been using his Bumbo since he was 3 months. He was trying to sit up on his own, a neighbor gave me this chair and I used it everyday to help him learn to sit on his own, it has improved and he is sitting on his own.

A Bumbo is really the way to go when it comes to helping your little one with sitting up. As a mother who has tried this little foam chair with her child, I am recommending all mothers try them and see how they like them.

I love the Bumbo seat and tray as it acts as a chair to help my son sit up and can also act as a highchair when out.

I traveled alone with my sone when he was 6 months old. I was able to pack the chair and tray in my suitcase. We used it as a seat and Highchair the whole trip as I was visiting a friend who does not have kids.

I also love the chair because I know my youngest who is just 3 months can sit in it and it is building his muscle tone!!

I don't know what I would do without this chair as it is so flexible!!

I was given one of these chairs for my 3rd child, and since then have been wondering why I wasn't told about them earlier! They're the perfect thing for curious babies.

My son LOVED to be with me everywhere I was, but since holding him all the time made it hard to do everything I needed to do, this chair was the perfect solution. He was able to sit in it (even when he wasn't old enough to sit up on his own) on the counter while I baked/cooked or in the laundry room with me.

Everywhere we went, the Bumbo came with us. The beach was also the perfect place for this chair. He was able to sit at the edge of the water and dip his toes in, which meant I didn't have to sit there and hold him (although I was never far from him). After we were done at the beach I just dipped the chair in the water and all the sand/dirt comes right off.

I now have twins (which makes that 5 kids for me! Yikes! ha ha), and I was given a second Bumbo chair. So now I haul 2 chairs around with me. My kids have all loved that chair, and I love the freedom it gives me.

We absolutely love the Bumbo. We have used the Bumbo since our daughter was 4 months old. It was great to be able to give our daughter a different perspective of the world, and our arms a rest.

The first time she used it she sat in there for 2 hours sucking on her hands joyfully. You can only do so much tummy time, dancing, and play mat with the bright colors and the crinkly sounds before you would like a break. Not to mention babies get tired of always being on the ground. Now she is able to be in the Kitchen with us while we cook and she plays with different utensils.

The Bumbo also has a detachable tray that you can buy. The tray is great for numerous reasons (toys, finger foods, coloring, ext). The Bumbo also acts like a high chair if space is tight. I would trade my swing, boppy, and exersaucer for one Bumbo. I think this is a must have for a new baby.

Difference With And Without Bumbo Chair

The Bumbo chair is so convenient and it fits baby so well! With the Bumbo chair, I no longer need to hold and support my baby while feeding.

I had a high chair for my baby however, the chair is not as comfortable as Bumbo chair with all the soft cushion supporting my baby's back and bottom.

Fantastic design and support!! A Must Have product for mummies.

This is a great product. I have a 4 month old and this supports her so well when she sits and it is good exercise for that little neck of hers. Plus it comes with a little tray attachment so when we go out, we can bring that to feed her in instead of a huge highchair.

Olivia's 1st time in her Bumbo

My 3 month old Olivia loves to sit up so the Bumbo chair is a must.

She will sit in it with the tray on and play with her toys. She loves to beat her rattle on the tray.

My bumbo was a gift, but I would recommend it to any new mom as a must buy.

I will be also using it to introduce my baby to solid food, I feel that it will be a great alternative to a highchair, since I really dont have room for one.

I have 3 kids, and the Bumbo chair has helped infinitely! With all 3 it has helped them work on sitting up with a little back support. And, the tray makes this the ideal UN-highchair. I could have whichever one fit in the Bumbo at the time sit in it on the floor (where there was no risk of falling) & it is SO easy to clean up! Plus, they just love sitting in it! You can also prop them in it with the tray for some close-by seating while they play with toys contained on the tray. It's been a lifesaver!

To be honest, when I first received it, I couldn't see much use for it. This was my third child with 17 years in between and we didn't have half the baby stuff that these young moms do now!

But let me share how useful this came to be for me...

As a working mom, you have really got to be creative to get everything done. So, what I used the Bumbo for was bath time. I would place her in the Bumbo in the tub while I quickly showered. I'd get her cleaned up as well as myself. It was wonderful! Another use for it was when I was out in the garden, I would plop it down beside me and she had a ball watching me and touching the grass.
