Review of Hyland's Teething Tablets

Hyland's Teething tablets are a must have for any parent with a teething child. They have been a lifesaver in our house!

The teething tablets are homeopathic - made with natural ingredients and not chemicals. They take a crying, uncomfortable child and within about 15 minutes you have a calm, content baby who often will fall asleep because the pain is gone. The baby is not medicated and loopy, but is now able to rest (or play or eat) because they are no longer hurting. I have used these with both my sons (ages 2 and 1) and they are wonderful.

We have never had success with the numbing gels such as Baby Orajel - neither of my kids liked the taste or feel of them and they always cried harder when I used them. Hyland's have no actual taste that I can detect and both of my kids never seemed to mind having them dissolve in their mouths. I never have to fight to keep them still when I use these, unlike when I tried the numbing gels - I would need 8 hands to hold them, while keeping their head still and their mouth open and not get bit while trying to place the gel on just the right spot. Who needs to make your child more miserable when you are trying to make them feel better. The package instructions say you can dissolve the tablets in a bit of water or juice on a spoon if you prefer, but I've never had a problem just popping them into the boys' mouths.


I like the fact that I'm not constantly pouring baby Tylenol or other medication into my child. I like that the tablets are easily portable and don't require any liquid to take them. They are tiny and dissolve almost instantly in the child's mouth. Plus the normal dose is only 2-3 tablets and there are 100 in the package, so they last a while, even if you are giving them to your little one several times a day. The average cost here in Florida is between $3.98 and $4.99, so not very expensive, either.


I have recommended Hyland's Teething Tablets to many, many moms (and some dads) and they all say that the Hyland's work wonders. I will be forever grateful to the mom that recommended them to me.
