Our Angel

Hi everyone...I am from Philippines and I'd like to share with you about my baby.

He was born on January 20, 2010 at the peak of winter in Saudi Arabia. He never cried until he reached his first month. When he was still newborn he would just move his hand as if he was beating to let us know that he was hungry.

We started introducing him solid food during his 3 1/2 months. I introduced cerelac wheat which is his first cereal and I found that he would cry after eating. I tried another time with cerelac rice and he loved it!

Now he is 7 1/2 months,weighs 8.4 kgs and I'm giving him rice which was boiled for half an hour to make it smoother. His breakfast is at 10 or sometimes at 1pm already because we have observed that he will wake up if he knows that I am coming. If my schedule of work is in the afternoon he knows that I'll be home at 11pm and he will wake up and wait for me and sleep at 3 am. Or for example my duty starts at 9pm-3am he will sleep at 10pm and wakes up at 3 am and sleep again at 4-5am wakes up at 11am. He is having 3-4 hours naps for 3 times during the day.

He loves to eat butternut squash, green beans and pear. I introduced carrots, zucchini, bananas, avocado, egg yolk, meat and chicken soup, mango and a little natural full fat yogurt and I did not try yet cheese and fish. My husband told me to give him when he will reach 8 months. He is only taking 20 oz of formula milk and 2 times solid foods a day.I don't know if this is OK but he is an active healthy baby.

He is a happy eater and my baby laughs and smiles more and cries less.

Baby food in Saudi Arabia

Dear Allene, Your son is gorgeous. I saw that he was born in Saudi Arabia. May I please ask you a question. I will be traveling to Saudi Arabia in March, God willing and I obviously can not make our homemade baby food for my 7 month old son in our hotel room. Do they offer baby food for sell in the supermarkets there? I have traveled there twice however did not take notice about the baby food as my daughter was 1 1/2 yrs old the 1st time we went. Thank you for your help may you be rewarded for your efforts, Ivey
