I make my own baby wipes, and they are WONDERFUL! Here is the recipe, they are a MUST HAVE--

Homemade Baby Wipes

Ingredients:
• 1 Tablespoon Baby Oil
• 1 Tablespoon Head-to-Toe Baby Wash
• 2 1/4 cups water
• 1/2 roll of paper towels

Cut paper towels in half so they will fit in container (I use an electric knife because it's easier, but a regular bread knife works too).

Boil water; stir in baby oil and baby wash until mixed well.

Stir continuously or it could boil over.

Remove from heat and pour over paper towels in container. Let it soak in and cool.

When soft, pull out cardboard roll and you are ready to use your wipes! Pull from the center to have great, easy to use, baby wipes.

Notes: The best container for your wipes can be found at Target. It is a 1.5qt ClickClack, cylinder container with a sealed lid. Use the Kleenex brand Viva! “Choose-A-Size” paper towels because they soak up the liquid well and are very soft for your baby.

Our little girl is 8 months old and we are still using the same bottles of Baby oil and Baby wash that we started with. We also just bought our second package of paper towels. These wipes are much cheaper than buying regular wipes, and if you keep what you need on hand, you won’t run out!

They are also very gentle on your baby’s bottom. Diaper rash is a rarity and they come in handy for clean-ups when she starts eating baby food. The head-to-toe baby wash makes them gentle enough to use on your baby's face and great for sensitive skin.

Also, to save time, I usually make 3x the amount listed and then keep canning jars under the kitchen sink with ready-made liquid so the next time I need wipes, I just pour it over the paper towels and they are ready.

great idea
by: grace

This is a great idea. My baby seems sensitive to the bulk wipes that I bought, so this may be a good alternative. I have a question and a comment:

Comment - Looks like pop-up paper towels would make great homemade pop-up wipes. I'm going to check those out.

Question - Once you've poured the liquid over the towels and they're completely soaked through, do you drain the remaining liquid? Or do the towels sit in a pool of liquid?

Thanks for such a great idea.
