Intro:
First let me introduce those of you not familiar with the gDiapers system. g-diapers I believe are on the forefront of the diaper revolution. They combine the convenience of modern disposable diapers with the earth friendly ways of traditional cloth diapering without the cloth diapering mess and hassle. g-diapers are ultra earth friendly offering three ways to dispose of them. Whether you throw the inserts away, flush them or compost them you'll feel good about covering your wee one in diapers without covering the earth in them too!

Effectiveness:
g-diapers are made up of 3 parts; the cloth cover, the wet-proof liner (plastic free) and the "disposable" insert(hemp/cotton and micro fleece). I find the system VERY effective! My son is almost 4 months old (and we all know how much wee-ones go!) and has yet to soak through his g-diaper. It also contains baby blowouts quite well! He has yet to have a rash (with the lack of chemicals present in the g-diapers) and is so comfy with breathable cotton so close to his skin.
Easy to use and fast to change with just a little practice you'll be a pro in no time!

Cost:
The cost to start seems a little high at first but is far less expensive than traditional cloth diapering methods. Comparable to buying 2 to 3 packages of disposables. The best part is they wont grow out of them anytime soon! My son still wears the one he came home in from the hospital at 7lbs and 14 oz, he is now 16+ lbs and still has room to grow. I wish I had found g-diapers with my first four children!
With sizes available in Small or Med/Large you'll find g-diapers are very cost effective, and the price of the refills are no more than a main stream disposables. The overall cost is worth it when looking at the low/no impact on the earth. and the many choices in design cost no more than the plain ones!!!!

Pros
* chemical free for baby's skin
* 100% biodegradable (no landfill required)
* no more stinky poos in the garbage or pail
* more use from each size
* contains the wee and poo
* easy and fast to use
* cost effective (per diaper they're no more than pampers
* convenience of shipping or buying from the store
* company is responsive and customer service is priceless
* so many choices in designs (there are some super cute ones!!)

Cons:
*a little pricey at first
* MAY need to double up on the inserts at night
* possibly a little awkward at first
* Newborns tend to stain the liner with their poo
* hmmm I've been sitting here thinking for about 10 minutes for another con....and I truly cannot!

Love THEM
by: Carrie

My little guy is allgeric to a lot of things including the blue dye they put in the diapers. I was given the g diaper as joke from someone at my baby shower. I did not give it a thought until my little one at 2 weeks old had the nastiest diaper rash I had ever seen. I started using the G diaper and his little bottom healed, I have never look back. I love Them.
