When my son was first born, I planned on using cloth diapers. My aunt made me a set of flat folds out of scrap flannel, and all I needed was some covers. The plastic pants my mother used on me were practically impossible to find, so I went online to find out what mothers used with their cloth diapers. This opened me up to a whole new generation of cloth diapering. I bought a few diaper covers, but I had my eye on some of the pocket diapers that I found. After a lot of research, I decided to buy a set of FuzziBunz One Size Pocket Diapers.

Unlike other one size diapers which use a set of snaps to adjust the rise of the diaper and a velcro strip to adjust the waist, FuzziBunz uses a button-elastic system which allows you to tighten or loosen the leg-casings and waist. There are two rows of snaps, one for the waist and one for the hips to replace the velcro on most other diapers. I really liked this feature, because velcro often pills my laundry. The elastic has numbers on it, so once you've figured out the fit your baby needs on one diaper, you can simply find the numbers on the other diaper and adjust them in little time. If you get any leaking, you simply need to adjust the fit. I wish I could do this with all cloth diapers!

These diapers come with two inserts: a newborn size and a larger size. The inserts are four layers, which is wonderful if you have a heavy wetter like I do! It also comes with a set of extra elastics just in case you need to replace any. There is also a three-year warranty on the elastic if you need more. The lining of the diaper is made of microfleece which helps wick moisture away from your baby. The outer shell is lined with PUL to keep moisture from leaking. The diapers themselves come with a 90-day warranty.

When I first received my FuzziBunz, I pre-washed them and found one out of the eighteen diapers I originally bought had a defective PUL lining. It was pulling away from the material on the outer shell. The company quickly sent me a new diaper (with inserts and elastics) along with a nice set of cloth wipes to make up for the cost of returning the old diaper. I even got to keep the inserts and extra elastics that came with the original diaper! I really feel like I've got my money's worth.
