If your little one has curly locks or if you have a bi-racial baby like my little Jam-Asian (Jamaican – Filipino/Asian) you’ll often find that your baby’s locks are a hot tangled mess. My little girl sported the “out of bed” look for the past couple of months and it was driving me nuts trying to comb through the tangles (which by the way, she did not enjoy). I also found that her locks were really dry, frizzy and worse, the hair started to break (my hubby says, “great, not only do I have to contend with your hair all over the place, but Danielle’s too?”).
After much research and reading reviews of different products that cater to curly hair (specifically bi-racial hair), I found Curls “It’s a Curl” for babies (www.curls.biz)
I purchased the “Patty Cake Conditioner” and the “Itsy Bitsy Spirals Baby Curl Moisturizer” and so far so good! I found that it helped moisturize and define the curls. And baby’s hair looks much healthier. It’s also easier to comb through the fine curly hair. The Cons about these products are: the Patty Cake Conditioner is not a tear-free formula so rinsing baby’s hair can sometimes be difficult (especially when you have a little “Splashy McSplasher” in the bath tub); The products are pricey for a little 4oz. bottle! However, a little squirt does go a long way.
Over all, I would recommend this product to any mom who has a child with messy curly hair.
