Cloud B Sleep Sheep

We were gifted with a Sleep Sheep for our newborn daughter from a very dear friend and her husband. We had never heard of such a thing.
Since our daughter was born 8 weeks early and had spent 3 weeks in the hospital before coming home, I was nervous about how she would sleep since the last 2 weeks of her hospital stay were in the regular hospital nursery (not the NICU) and the lights were on 24/7 and there was always activity going on around her.
When we got the Sleep Sheep, I placed it on her bassinet (easily attached with a velcro strap)and every night turned it on. It has four settings; mother's heartbeat, rain, surf, and whale.
When our daugther was a few months old, we transitioned her to her crib. I worried about how well she would sleep. I had also heard that it was best to let a baby put themselves to sleep, rather than holding them until they did and then put them to bed. We had made that mistake with our son. So, I put the Sleep Sheep in the corner of her crib, and turned it on.
It has an automatic timer so it will shut off by itself...nice to not have to go into the sleeping baby's room to do so or worry about leaving it on and running down the battery. Our daughter is now almost 5 months old and every night we lay her down, awake, and turn on her Sleep Sheep. Within a matter of minutes she is fast asleep and 99% of the time sleeps all night!
I love the Sleep Sheep, and actually miss the days when her bassinet was beside me and I, too, could fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing. I would definitely recommend one of these little guys to any expectant mom. Besides being very effective at soothing a baby and getting them to sleep, they are absolutely adorable and lovable, too!
