Bumbleride Indie

by Kay
(Redondo Beach, CA)

After many weeks of research I decided on purchasing the Bumbleride Indie in seagrass.

The Bumbleride Indie is the perfect blend of what my husband and I were looking for in a stroller:

It's all-terrain:
With it's three air-filled tires & front swivel wheel, the Indie goes over tree roots, grass, & rocks smoothly. It has great rear suspension, which makes it a very smooth ride for my baby. After only pushing the stroller a couple blocks, my baby was fast asleep.

It's lightweight:
At only 20lbs, the Indie is the lightest stroller in it's class. It's easy to push, easy to fold, and easy to carry into the trunk of my car. The wheel base is only 24.5 inches wide. At 5 feet tall, I'm pretty petite, so size & weight were very important to me. Other comparable strollers were almost 6lbs heavier. Although my snap-n-go weighs lighter than the Indie when folded, the Indie feels a lot lighter to push.

It reclines to flat:
It's important for my baby to be able to nap comfortably in the stroller. I dislike seeing babies napping seated upright with their heads tilted to the side. It's like sleeping on a plane, and no one enjoys sleeping on a plane. It's just so uncomfortable! Needless to say, the fact that the Indie reclines to a flat position is a great feature. It's like my baby is flying first class!

Multiple options:
I loved that there are many optional accessories to choose from. An accessory that's optional for most strollers is the infant car seat adapter. But this is a standard accessory for the Indie. I have the 2008 model, which also includes the bumper bar and foot muff. The 2009 model does not have either, but does include a rain cover. There's also the optional car seat cover, foot muff & liner, carry cot, snack pack & jam pack you can purchase in the matching color.

Color:
Speaking of color, the Indie has various color options. I fell in love with the green & blue one, called Seagrass. Not many strollers have such bold color choices so this one definitely stands out from the crowd.

All in all, I love my Bumbleride Indie. My baby enjoys riding in it. Even my husband loves it, too! In fact, he was so excited to put the stroller together (which took all of 15 minutes), that he had to take it out right away! He took it off the road, hopped up the curb, pushed it over the grass & tree roots and uphill - all within the first 5 minutes :)
