Brycen's Veggie Magic - Oct 8

I can drink from a straw!

I can drink from a straw!

Now my baby Brycen is 12 months old, he still likes to eat meats, fruits and breads. But he won't eat veggies no matter how I try. I got so frustrated and angry.

One day I got and idea from the Cooking Show. They blend the veggies and mix it into their potato soup. It makes their soup look a bit greenish in colour. So nice and yummy....

So, I go and buy some spinach which contains a lot of vitamins. Back home, I wash the spinach and cut it into a few parts. Then, I blend it with the egg in the blender until a smooth and green creamy foam. After that, I put in some mince meat and a bit of Bovril for taste and blend it again for about 30 seconds. Lastly, I pour it into a small bowl and steam it in the steamer for about 30 minutes or until it's cooked.

This can be a side dish for the baby to go with porridge, rice or bread according to what's your baby prefers.

This is a good way to introduce veggies to your baby!

Question about KL and babies
by: Tanya

Hi, my name is Tanya and my family will be traveling to KL in June and we plan to stay about 4 weeks. I have a 9 month old boy. I usually make most of my baby's food here in the U.S.A. but I do not know if I will have the convenience to do that in KL. I have heard that stores sell pureed baby foods in KL and am curious what the variety is (green beans, squash, etc). I can bring some with me but not enough for the amount of time we will be gone. I am sorry to bother you with this question, but if you have the time could you please email me at tanyacblair@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance for any and all help you can give me. Have a great week!

Mommie have to make things work
by: Debbie

My doctor wanted me to introduce the vegetables first so that my baby wouldn't like the sweeter things in life. Well silly my baby was breastfed. The sweetest stuff on earth. So when I introduced some veggies I saw no reason not to added one tablespoon of natural homemade applesauce per quart of veggie puree. My doctor was to keen on this. But I figure his is just stubborn and I won't always do this. So congrats to you for helping your child like a veggies. Mommies need to do what it takes to get the proper nutrients in their little babies bodies.

Wow, I'm from the UK, your recipe sounds different from anything we're used to here, think I'll give it a try. Thanks for sharing.
