April 7, 2008 21:20 - How Much Baby Food Can I Take on an Airplane?
Just how much baby food, breast milk and formula are you allowed to carry in your hand luggage these days?
If you're planning to fly with your baby any time soon, then the answer to this question is probably EXTREMELY important to you. Yet, with all the new regulations about carrying liquids and gels into the cabin of an airplane (or aeroplane, depending on where you're reading this!), there's an awful lot of mis-information floating about. There are also many people who will delight in telling you all about 'someone they know' who had all their baby milk confiscated at security, or that you are only allowed to bring along a few ounces.
Can these nightmare stories be true?
Don't worry - your baby will not need to survive a 10 hour flight with no food and just a few ounces of milk - and we explain the latest procedures for packing these items in your hand luggage on our new page - Flying With Baby Food and Milk.
