Baby Safe Feeder

by Erin Johanson
(Peoria, AZ)

The Baby Safe Feeder is an easy way to occupy my teething 7 month old daughter while I'm getting dinner ready without having to worry about her choking on anything. There is a rattle type handle that is easy for her to grasp and a netting that ensures that only tiny pieces will come through.

During some especially sensitive teething periods I have even frozen breast milk in cubes and put it inside the mesh holder. Bananas work really well as do other fruits and veggies.

One warning: this is great in the highchair, but I would not recommend taking it camping as we did last weekend because once it is thrown on the ground it gets dirty and messy really fast!

Apparently a Dad was the one who invented it! I received it as a shower gift from another mom who said it made the transition to finger foods easy.
