You can see the current winners - and the entry form for submitting your photographs - on our Baby of the Month page - and here are our winners from February's competition!

February's winner has such a cheeky, infectious little smile - you just can't help smiling back!
Congratulations to our "Baby Of The Month"
Jake, 4 months, from Adelaide, South Australia

Jake Jake's Mum, Sarah, told us...

Jake has always been a very easy baby to breast feed, and I thought maybe he might be ready to start solids - but after reading your website I have decided to wait until he is 6mths.

Although he was on time but only weighed 5lb 3oz (2420g), I feel as though he has always caught on to things quickly....and I'm hoping he'll do the same when I do start him on solids.

I have tried giving Jake a little water now and then, especially on our recent 40 degree days, but he is really not interested.

Overall Jake is such a happy, beautiful, cheeky baby and my husband and I thank God everyday for this little blessing.

We are very proud 'first time parents! - and Jake is the 32nd!!! grandchild on my husband's side of the family.

Thank you for all your info....I'd be lost without it.

Sarah, thank you for sharing your gorgeous photograph of Jake - please let us know how he gets on with solid foods!

Thank you, everyone, for all the other fantastic entries we received this month!

Here are some more of our favourite pictures, along with a few words from Mum...

Ayden, 7 months - from Lake Orion, MI USA

Ayden
Ayden enjoys avocados, sweet potatoes, mangos and pears. He will take a few bites but then shakes his head no at carrots and bananas. It's so cute, I can't help but laugh.

We both really enjoy the bonding time when he is drinking his formula. But he does love to play with the water in his big boy sippy cup!

I'm really having fun making his food. It really means a lot to us that I feed him all natural. I have learned so much about food in general by doing this. Thanks so much for all the help and advice!

I'll do anything for my little pumpkin! I Love You Ayden!!

Benjamin, 9 months - from Toronto, ON Canada

Benjamin
Ben is a SUPER eater given that he was 6 1/2wks premature and had to learn how to swallow and breath at the same time...his appetite has definitely sky-rocketted!

I love making his food and as my husband says "our freezer shows it".

I found that mixtures like carrots and pears or avocado and bananas are the biggest sellers. Ben really LOVES yogurt, most veggies, and all fruits except avocados on their own and I love watching him try new stuff - he makes hilarious faces.

We just started chicken - who knew food could be this much fun!!

Chelsea-Louise, 7 months - from Warrington, England

Chelsea-Louise
I am 21 and my boyfriend - Chelsea's Father - is 20, we have never been around babies so everything has been really new to us!

Chelsea was happy with her formula milk until she was 6 months old ! I was so nervous at introducing food to her, because I hadn't had any experience. I didn't know whether I was doing it right. But when she finally opened her mouth for the spoon she enjoyed it and it went well.

She has just turned 7 months, so has only had pureed food that I have made, such as carrots (mushed) and mash, with apple and pear afterwards.

Because i felt as though I was giving her the same foods everyday - and wanted her to taste different things - I also bought some jarred food to make her weaning more tasteful for her. But now that she is 7 months I am going to start introducing lumps in to the food and - again - I am doubting myself. But I think as we have got this far with weaning, we can go to the next step.

I find that, up to now, she loves carrots but dislikes mash. I am going to carry on trying her with it, because I was told that babies' taste buds can change - so hopefully she will eventually take to mash too!!

I have also found that she loves yoghurts (Petit Filous)!

Also, she does not like any drinks apart from her formula milk. I keep trying every day. I have tried boiled water - baby bottled water with flavouring and also tried non sweetened diluted juices, but she doesnt seem to like any . I will keep trying!

She loves making a mess and finding things to get her hands into - little cheeky monkey .

Chelsea-Louise you are my Sun, my Air, my Light, my Life. I love you!!

Shanay, 1 year - from Dubai, UAE

Shanay
This picture is of Shanay in Thailand.

Shanay is your typical 1 year old, extremely active and inquisitive... always on the lookout for something new. His inquisitiveness is also extended to trying out new food items and is always more interested in what's on our plates rather than his own.

Shanay starts his day in the morning with a bottle of milk, then has fruits for breakfast. He loves bananas, apples, pear, pappaya, grapes , sweet potato and especially watermelon.

Then he has a wholesome lunch of rice, veggies , legumes and yoghurt. Dinner is also more or less the same, with a snack of bread-butter or cheese or porridge in evening. Shanay loves to eat fruit flavoured yoghurt for dessert and just loves juices. He can drink any juice.

Shanay has always had homemade food and, though I am a working mother, I make sure his babysitter has enough food for the day, before I leave for the office. Thanks to your website I never run out of recipe ideas for him!

Shanay is a blessing and has added magic to our lives.
