Your baby's delicate skin can burn in as little as 10-15 minutes, so protecting him from the sun is crucial.

For babies less than 6 months of age, keep sun exposure to a minimum (see our vitamin D page for more information about sunlight and its contribution to vitamin D production).
After 6 months, brief periods of exposure are safe, provided that a good sunscreen is used. Make sure baby is also wearing a good sun hat that protects the back of his neck.
Avoid exposure between 11am and 3pm - when the sun is at its hottest.

It offers your baby protection from the sun and the wind during the day and is also a really comfortable bed, with a nice air mattress instead of the "board" type base you find on many travel beds! Some parents have found it a little difficult to pack away after use, but we found that - with a little practise - you soon get the hang of it!
