Avent Manual Breast Pump

by Natalie
(Malvern, PA )

This is a review of the Phillips Avent manual Pump. I wasn't sure if I was going to nurse or not. My husband picked this up for me a day or two after the baby was born - and it was a lifesaver. It cost around $50 and insurance will sometimes reimburse up to $50 so it was basically free!

For a manual pump, this is efficient and easy to use. It can do a number on your hand, but it is to be expected since it is manual. Someone told me that you could hold down the handle and it will pump out milk really quickly - this works, but the middle piece usually pops out of place if you do this and then you have to disassemble it to fix it - which is annoying! All in all, this works great and is compatible with all of the Avent bottles and accessories.

If you are on the market for a manual pump, this is a great one.
